What were the highlights of your holiday? Many highlites...we were on the go from morning to night
what was your overall impression of the accommodation?    We completely enjoyed our accomodations. First impression when we arrived was that it was spacious and fantastic...it remained the same throughout our stay.
Did you have any unpleasant surprises? The washing machine poured all it's water onto the floor when we did our first load of laundry. Unfortunately during the day, there is nobody around who speaks english. Grandma who lives at the main house was very friendly and came to see the problem, but it was very difficult to communicate with her. The simple repair was completed that evening. - the heating bill at the end of our week was a minor surprise, but not completely unexpected.
Do you have any other comments? It was a wonderful home, and if the right situation arises, we would not hesitate to rent Fienile once again.

What were the highlights of your holiday? It was quiet and easy to relax - nice walks around also.
what was your overall impression of the accommodation?    We were impressed it was clean and a good size. The owners were there if we needed them but also left us alone.

What were the highlights of your holiday? Just being in Tuscany, going to Florence and San Gimignano and eating all the wonderful food (and gelato of course) was fabulous. Being with my new husband and generally relaxing. Italy was great and we loved it
what was your overall impression of the accommodation?    It was in an outstanding location though very remote - which we loved - but the directions to the site were not the best and need to be highlighted more. The accomodation was very clean, everything worked and the people who owned it were lovely and very friendly. It would have been useful to know that the accomodation was part of the owners house - we were on honeymoon and were downstairs from what seemed to be their main living areas so did worry about them hearing us as much as we heard them. There were other cottages to hire there and to be honest we thought we were in one of these until we were shown the apartment. It wasn't made very clear to us that we were sharing the same building. Also - the bed was really uncomfortable - like a giant camp bed with two really thin sponge matresses which again we spent some time in so would have been nice to have a more comfy bed - it was pretty awful.
Did you have any unpleasant surprises? Just sharing our building and not having the right car for the roads where our apartment was.
Do you have any other comments? We loved our honeymoon and to be honest had an amazing and vey relaxing time - just to be in Italy with my fab husband and see all the wonderful things florence and tuscany has to offer could not have made any of the negatives shine out too much.

The website description has been improved to make it clear that Il Gelso forms part of the main house.

Overall impression: The villa was better than we thought far. It was so clean and well equiped and had the most fantastic views over the tuscan hills and fairly tale village.
Highlights: The owners/family were fantastic, they provided a lovely location and allowed our privacy but were there if we needed anything. They even sold their own wine which was lovely (with a complimentary bottle on arrival).
Unpleasant surprises: The three hour wait for our car - (which was only the fault of hertz obvioulsy). That was the only downside of the whole week.

Overall impression: The accommodation was brilliant – small but very very clean,  Child friendly and the gardens gave the children lots of out door space.  Had to watch them by the pool but that was to be expected. It was a gem!
Highlights: The location of the villa in the hills over Badia- the welcome we received and the peace.
