What was your overall impression of the accommodation?    Loved it, perfect size for lots of families with great individual space aswell as communal areas both inside and out. The hilltop secluded location was fabulous. Great pool and gardens. Roberta was a gentleman.

What were the highlights of your holiday? Visiting the nearby restaurants and hanging out by the pool with a view of Arezzo. We also enjoyed our day trips to Pisa, Perugia, and Florence.
what was your overall impression of the accommodation?    It was great. A little hard to find. Roberto Marchi was very accomodating. The pool was spectacular and the house was large and beautiful.
Did you have any unpleasant surprises? The evenings were quite warm, and there was not air conditioning nor fans. We wanted to open the windows, but because there were no screens, bugs started to fly in. We ended up sleeping a bit uncomfortably. Also the some of the beds we had could have used upgraded mattresses. But overall we would give it a 9.5 out of 10 and would gladly stay there again.
Do you have any other comments? This is a wonderful villa in a wonderful spot. The location is convenient and being able to "take the day off" by the pool made the whole vacation relaxing. We still miss the view from the pool side.

what was your overall impression of the accommodation?    It was very big and clean, Great view on arrezo valley , very nice owner.

Do you have any other comments? we understand that the owner needs to maintain the swimmingpool , but he did not told us he would come every morning. We where a bit surpriced the first day. We feld a bit like he was controling up on us.

What were the highlights of your holiday? We loved traveling the countryside in our rental cars, a little apprehensive at first, but after the first day we felt like real Italian drivers. The GPS systems were life savers. Eating in the Grand Square in Arezzo. Assisi and Florence were definitely must see places and our children (adults) loved the Chianti region and wine tours.
what was your overall impression of the accommodation?    Poggio del Gallo was the most charming, relaxing villa to be on our trip. Roberto was amazing in his hospitality and we will be telling al our friends and family about this wonderful place. Waking up every morning and having coffee by the pool or on the terrace surrounded by gorgeous mountains was delightfull. Poggio del Gallo was a quiet retreat yet close to any amenity you could think of.
Did you have any unpleasant surprises? None.
Do you have any other comments? We must give a gold star to Sara and her husband at Aesse car rental who worked very hard to have our autos at the villa and the van ready at the airport and taking us back, Thank you especially to Roberto for his attentiveness and for picking the finest chefs (Carlo) in the region to make us two very special dinners during our family week. Likes: Your attention to details and everything delivered to us on time as expected. We were particularly pleased by the attention we got from Roberto Marchi - he cleared the swimming pool every morning, visited us from time to time to see that we were happy and had everything we needed. On our arrival, one car got lost by missing the correct autoroute exit: Roberto kept in touch by mobile phone and eventually met us in Antria and escorted us from there to Poggio. We had to leave early on the Saturday to get to Nice in time for the Autorail service - no problem for Roberto: he delivered our deposit the night before, and arranged for us to leave all the keys in a safe place when we departed at 06:00 am.
Dislikes: No significant problems. Two of our party dropped out at the last moment which meant that the rest of us could spread out in the Villa - we would have been a little cramped with 10 in the accommodation available.
Storage for clothes was very limited, but again the dropping of two of our party meant that was not a problem.
There were only 6 sun loungers and three umbrellas - with 10 in the Villa that would have been a problem.
Overall impression: Excellent. The approach road was a bit rough,  but once we got there we were happy.[Our comment: road is all tar although narrow in places]
Highlights: Visits to Florence and Sienna and to some of the local towns (Arezzo,
Cortona...)

 Just to say that we had the most wonderful holiday from the start of booking with yourselves which was so painless and you kept us informed at every stage of the process. Directions to the villa were excellent.
 Now to the villa itself. How amazing it was, not a speck of dirt in site, very large, spacious and airy and to top it all, Roberto and his wife were absolute darlings, so hospitable and generous to us as a family. We will definitely be going back at some point if only to see them again.
 The swimming pool was great with lots of swimming aids for the children to play with. We will send you photos as soon as possible. Roberto gave me his E Mail address but I have misplaced it. Please could you pass on our E Mail address to Roberto to E Mail me and I can then reply to him. Heand his wife were such amazing hosts.
 Many thanks for all your help to make this such a wonderful holiday which we will remember for such a long time.

Overall impression: It was exactly has advertised and if anything we were even more impressed with the real thing. Roberto, the property manager and owner, is a lovely man and he added to our experience. He met us on the highway after midnight to show us the way so we would not get lost which was above and beyond! He also came by briefly each day to maintain the pool which allowed us to ask questions about various apects of the house that we might of been usure of.
Highlights: Too numerous to mention!
