Dieses Ferienhaus bietet einen schönen Blick nach Südwesten über die weite Landschaft der Toskana. Auf den großen, privaten Terrassen und im Garten kann man von morgens bis abends die Sonne genießen. Von hier sieht man die berühmte Hügellandschaft des Chianti und alte Bauernhäuser und Gehöfte. Das Haus bietet viel Platz, hohe Decken und die ursprünglichen Terrakottadecken, die dem Gebäude ein kühles und offenes Ambiente verleihen.
Den Gästen stehen auf der überdachten Terrasse ein Tisch mit Eisengestell und Stühle, ein Sonnenschirm und zwei Sonnenliegen sowie ein kleiner Kräutergarten zur Verfügung. Hier haben Sie einen schönen Blick über das Tal und können sowohl tagsüber als auch nachts wunderbar im Freien unter dem Himmel der Toskana speisen.
Durch den Garten und über fünf Terracottastufen nach oben auf eine kleine erhobene Terrasse gelangen Sie zur Vordertür. Wenn Sie das Haus betreten, werden Sie über die Geräumigkeit erstaunt sein. Linker Hand befindet sich der Wohnbereich mit einem großen, offenen Kamin und einem gemütlichen Sofa und Sessel.
Rechts befindet sich eine weiße Holzküche mit einer großen Arbeitsfläche aus Granit sowie einer kompletten Ausstattung, darunter vier Gaskochflächen, Elektroofen, Kühlschrank, Geschirrspüler, Toaster und Kaffeemaschine. Das Küchenfenster, aus dem Sie Blick nach unten ins Tal haben, versorgt die Küche mit viel Licht.
Hinter dem Wohnbereich befindet sich der Essbereich mit einem dunklen toskanischen Eichenholztisch und sechs passenden Stühlen. Der geräumige Küchen- und Essbereich bietet Platz für sechs Personen. Dieses hübsch eingerichtete Häuschen verfügt über einen Schlafzimmer und ein Badezimmer auf jeder Seite des Hauptwohnbereichs, damit Sie nachts ungestört sind.
Linker Hand befindet sich ein kleiner Flur mit Waschmaschine, der zu einem Badezimmer und Schlafzimmer führt. Links befindet sich ein luxuriöses, blaues Badezimmer mit Badewanne und separater Dusche. Geradeaus finden Sie ein großes Zimmer mit großen Fenster, die Richtung Süden zeigen, und Doppeltüren, die hinaus auf eine zweite Terrasse führen. Zur Ausstattung dieses Zimmers gehören ein handgefertigtes Eisenbettgestell mit eine orthopädischen Matratze, zwei Nachttische mit Schüben und einer Leselampe, ein doppelter Kleiderschrank und eine Frisierkommode mit Spiegel.

Was waren die Highlights Ihres Urlaubs? Durch Zufall kamen wir am 17.05.2011 nach Siena,gerade richtig um die 400 Oldtimer der "mille miglia antica"an dem Palio vorbeifahren zu sehen. Da wir seit vielen Jahren in die Toscana fahren haben wir uns gefreut ehemalige Aufenthalte unsrer Ferien wiederzufinden. Weingüter wie Nittardi Aiola ...
Das 1000 Jahre alte Podere Pretaccione war einst das Zuhause von Wanderpriestern. Pretaccione liegt im Herzen des Chianti-Gebiets und genießt eine friedliche, ländliche Umgebung, gerade einmal 20 Minuten von der historischen Stadt Siena entfernt. Das Hauptgebäude wurde liebevoll in acht geräumige Apartments umgebaut. Jedes Apartment ist gemütlich eingerichtet. Die Terrakotta-Fußböden, steinernen Torbögen und Balkendecken spiegeln den Charakter der Apartments wider. Etwas unterhalb des Farmhauses befindet sich eine größere Rasenfläche mit Blick über das Tal bis hin nach Siena. Auf dieser Fläche befinden sich ein großer Pool, ein Tennisplatz sowie Gartenmöbel. Von den alten Steinterrassen können Sie den Lauf des Arbie durch das Tal bis hin nach Siena verfolgen.
Alle Häuser haben einen eigenen Garten und eine Terrasse mit Tisch und Stühlen für angenehme Abende unter freiem Himmel. Das hübsche Dörfchen San Sano ist 4 km entfernt. Dort gibt es ein fantastisches Restaurant mit Landhausküche und einen kleinen Lebensmittelladen mit Bar.
Pretaccione liegt auf dem Grundstück des Weinguts Dievole, ein kurzes Stück mit dem Auto oder zu Fuß die Landstraße hoch. Bei den Weinproben oder Abendessen im Weingut sind unsere Gäste immer willkommen.

Swimming-Pool Information
Der Swimmingpool ist14x5,5 m groß und 1,3 bis 2,3 m tief. Er ist von Ostern bis Oktober geöffnet. Der Pool ist von einer großen Rasenfläche und einer mit Terrakotta ausgelegten Terrasse umgeben, auf der bequeme Sonnenliegen aufgestellt sind. Dieser Bereich weist Richtung Süden und liegt den ganzen Tag über in der Sonne.
Pretaccione verfügt über einen betonierten Tennisplatz mit offiziellen Abmessungen, der sich im Garten neben dem Pool befindet. Der Tennisplatz ist an einer freiliegenden Stelle positioniert - während eines Spiels bietet sich also eine schöne Sicht auf die Hügel Sienas. Anschließend können Sie sich im Pool abkühlen und dann auf der Terrasse die Sonne der Toskana tanken.
Umgebung
Pretaccione liegt 4 km vom kleinen Dorf San Sano und 6 km von Lecchi in Chianti entfernt. Bis zu den Chianti-Städten Radda in Chianti und Gaiole in Chianti sind es mit dem Auto 15 Minuten. Bis Siena sind es 30 Minuten.

What was your overall impression of the accommodation? Excellent - Exactly as described and pictured. Although the view from the farmhouse in real life was so much better than any photo could portray.
Did you have any unpleasant surprises during your stay with us? Not exactly unpleasant - but the DVD player was a tiny portable one which made it hard for a family of 4 to watch a DVD together in comfort. There were also several thunderstorms - but can't really blame you for that !
Do you have any other comments regarding the accommodation or service? Just to say thank you for a fantastic holiday.

Wat vond u in het algemeen van uw vakantiehuis? Het appartement was schitterend, zowel van de binnenkant als aan de buitenkant. Erg mooie ligging maar toegangsweg (onverhard) is een ramp. Hierin is wel verbetering mogelijk!

Wat vond u in het algemeen van uw vakantiehuis? Het appartement was schitterend, zowel van de binnenkant als aan de buitenkant. Erg mooie ligging maar toegangsweg (onverhard) is een ramp. Hierin is wel verbetering mogelijk!

Did you have any unpleasant surprises during your stay with us? It was quite cold the first night and there were no spare blankets, but after calling one of the local caretakes (Sorry I forget her name) she came straight away and found another blanket for us.
Do you have any other comments regarding the accommodation or service? It was a little remote so we would not stay here again, but the service from To Tuscany was so wonderful that next time to come to Tuscany I will start looking for accommodation first with you.

Wie war Ihr Gesamteindruck von der Unterbringung? positv, der Gesamteindruck übertraff alle Erwartungen vollends,keine geschönten Bilder genauso wie bei Buchung,nichts verwohnt und dergleichen,die komplette Anlage ist Tadellos in Schuß gehalten man kann sie nur weiter empfehlen
Gab es unangenehme Überraschungen? nach 24h Dauerregen eine Überschwemmung in der Wohnung,wo sich das Wasser seinen Weg suchte - (Schlafzimmer ca.3-4cm,Badezimmer und Kaminzimmer).Aber ein kurzes Telefonat am Vormittag genügte und uns wurde sofort geholfen (Putzfrau etc.).Dafür noch mal herzlichen Dank an allen Beteiligten

Wie war Ihr Gesamteindruck von der Unterbringung? positv, der Gesamteindruck übertraff alle Erwartungen vollends,keine geschönten Bilder genauso wie bei Buchung,nichts verwohnt und dergleichen,die komplette Anlage ist Tadellos in Schuß gehalten man kann sie nur weiter empfehlen

Did you have any unpleasant surprises during your stay with us? The lack of water on the morning after a big storm on Saturday night, but the supply was quickly restored by your maintenance team. Water was running down a wall in the lounge and in to an electric light- you may want to look in to this!

Wie war Ihr Gesamteindruck von der Unterbringung? Die Unterkunft war super. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Nur die Anfahrtsstraße sollte verbessert werden. Durch die Dornenbüsche am Wegrand haben wir unser Auto verkratzt.
Gab es unangenehme Überraschungen? Das einzige was unangenehm war, war die Anfahrtstraße, also das letzte Stück. Wir haben dadurch nicht so viele Ausflüge gemacht, wie wir eigentlich geplant hatten, da wir uns und unserem Auto diese Straße nicht immer zumuten wollten.

What were the highlights of your holiday? Tuscany!
What was your overall impression of the accommodation? Nicely done - tastefully furnished. The very low headroom in the gallery was a surprise but not, as it turned out, a problem. Slight disappointment that the patio was pretty impractical for eating due to its distance from the kitchen. Not really a surprise though, as I expected as much from the website photos. We noted that a fan would have been really useful - the first few nights were very hot especially up in the gallery. When we got home (I think) I saw on the web that there was supposed to be one. Possibly gone awol.

Do you have any other comments regarding the accommodation or service? Tennis court surface is starting to need attention, especially behind the baseline/in the tram-lines. Having said that, it didn't really trouble us even though we played a lot. However another winter and it might be a different story. By the way, the tennis court was a major factor for us in choosing Pretaccione. Also the Thursday changeover was great for us - flights much less pricey. Would happily use 'To Tuscany' again.

Quelle est votre impression générale concernant l'hébergement? Maison superbe, presque mieux que sur les photos! Tout était beau, la déco, la vaisselle etc..;Rien à redire! Bref, une maison de rêve... Le seul bémol peut-être, l'accès difficile à la fin( chemin non goudronné).

Avez vous d'autres commentaires? S'il est possible de féliciter la propriétaire de la maison qu'on louait...Dites-lui de notre part qu'elle a beaucoup de goût et que nous avons apprécié à sa juste valeur tout ce qu'elle a fait.

What was your overall impression of the accommodation? The accommodation was typical Tuscan style. The inside was clean and welcoming
Did you have any unpleasant surprises during your stay with us? We stayed in Pinturicchio. One of the entrance doors to the apartment would not open, so we could only use the door that opened into the kitchen. The problem with this was that outside, above the door, were several birds nests and the door step was constantly covered with bird droppings which we had to step in to get into the house. This was unhygienic and not ideal with a baby crawling around. Also, there were some dead baby birds that had fallen from the nests. There were unpleasant damp smells in the bathrooms and the bedrooms smelt a bit musty. No teaspoons, could have done with some more cutlery provided.

Haben Sie andere Anmerkungen? Die Wegbeschreiebung von Bologna/Firenze aus sollte über Siena führen. Das ist über die Schnellstraße angenehmer zu fahren. Denn: es gibt Menschen, die nicht gerne Auto fahren oder denen im Auto schlecht wird. Wenn man Ihrer Wegbeschreibung folgt, benötigt man fast die Häöfte der Zeit länger und das zum größten Teil über unbefestigte Straßen.

Did you have any unpleasant surprises? The drive from the main road up to the apartment was very trechourous and we sustained a puncture and damaged shocker - we ended up wasting a day getting it repaired and a bill of 400 euros.
Do you have any other comments? We normally holiday in the south but decided to have a change. The experience was different but very nice. The views are beautiful but finding good honest fairly priced resturaunts shoiuldn't be so hard to find. We sent ' cold lasagne' back in Radda and was still cahrged 80 euros. Good honest resturaunts should be sought out and promoted. - they do exist ! Would visit again and will recommend to friends and family.

It is a whole year since we were in Tuscany and the latest newsletter just arrived and stirred our memories, so I thought I would just write and say again what a wonderful place Pinturicchio was and how we loved our villa. It was absolutly perfect and the most gorgeous countryside and we loved sitting out in the the little shelter early in the morning having our breakfast and admiring the view. One day we would love to go again, don"t know if we will be able to but if we do we will certainly be organising it all through you and to-tuscany, it all went like clockwork.
Please tell the art historian who owns the villa how priviledged we felt to be able stay in his lovely place and will never forget it. Thanks again,

We have enjoyed a wonderful week, in a location perfect for relaxation. Not only does the villa provide an excellent holt-hale, but the surrounding villages have great restaurants; namely Malborghetto in Lecchi (closed Tuesday) and Grotta della Rana in San Sano (closed Wed.). We had a spectacular time in Pretaccione at our little villa, Il Fornaio; The hills of Tuscany were very alluring & we took many back roads to discover the culture. We especially enjoyed the market in Castellina (in spite of frigid cold). Our trips to Siena, Firenze &San Gimignano were all very different, but each had their own charm. You will find the most welcoming greeting from a sweet lade who runs the market in Lecchi in Chianti. The hills are full of enchanting little villages with their own pieces of history. We also found a special friend that we nicknamed “Sir Charles” which we later found is the local “gatto” named Kitty. She, “Charlie” is very tame and very well behaved if you would like to have her visit with you inside Il Fornaio. We left cat food so we hope you will take care of her as we have. She’s a very loving, gentle spirit! Il Fornaio was an excellent find! A truly tranquil and relaxing spot, a very well appointed cottage, although the missing fan would have come in useful but did not detract from the special place that is “il Fornaio.”
We loved using the BBQ for outside dining in the beautiful … and would have loved a couple of sunbeds there as well, as mentioned by previous occupants, maybe something we can look forward to on our intended future visits? It is very rare that we would ever consider returning to the same place on holiday, but this delightful place has left a lasting positive impression on us, in every way possible.
P.S. Don’t worry if you hear dogs and shots in the night. It’s just the boar hunters!

Overall impression: excellent - the best appointed villa we have ever stayed in - we have never had such a great arrange of pans, utensiles CDs DVDs etc to use or enjoy. However the weather was fantastic so we didn't have to wade through the DVD library thankfully!!

Tuscany was fabulous as always. Accommodation very well equipped, lovely setting and very high standard. 'To Tuscany' very helpful and good service.
The only issue we had was it was not 2km from the nearest town! Maybe at 2km to the end of the dirt track and then 2km to the nearest town, certainly not walking distance unless you were prepared to do a 2 hr hike every day. I think it should be changed on the details as we were a bit disappointed we could not walk to the local village. We recommend the walk up to Dievole (in May at any rate) although you’d have to run to make it in ¾ hour – allow 1 ½ hour if you’ve booked a tour around the cellars. Turn right down the steep hill at the Madonna and then fork left at the bottom – the road/track sweeps past a ruined house that you can see and after that it’s just follow the track for about 5 km.
The Grotta della Rana in San Sano is also a worthwhile destination. There’s a frog statue nearby which is fun too.

We have visited Italy for a holiday for 4 out of the past 5 years. (3rd time visiting Chianti). We love the place. Beautiful countryside and weather and so much to see in the towns and villages. On this trip we have been to Florence – we really like to climb up inside Brunelleschi’s dome and marvel at the structure, art work and the view. I can never resist buying bags in the leather market. We have also visited Siena, Colle di Val d’Elsa, Montereggione and some of the local villages. All wonderful places.

Die Highlights waren die super schöne Gegend und die traumhaften Sonnenuntergänge. Auch die jeweiligen Ortschaften in der Umgebung (z.B. Siena) gehören ebenfalls zu den Höhepunkten des Urlaubs. Eines der Highlights war die von der Anlage organisierte Wanderung zu einer Weinprobe im benachbarten Weingut. Das Borgo Montebuoni ist eine sehr schöne Anlage, Wir werden sie auch gerne weiterempfelen. Speziell Casa Barbara ist eine sehr hübsche, gut eigerichtete Wohnung.
