Diese aus toskanischem Naturstein gebaute wunderschöne Villa liegt im ursprünglichen Ort San Sano. Das Haus hat zwei Schlafzimmer und seinen eigenen Garten mit Blick über den Ort und die mit Bäumen bestandene Hügelkette, ein herrlicher Ort zum entspannen und relaxen.
Es ist umgeben von einem gepflegten Garten und bepflanzten Terracotta Blumenkübeln. Unter einem überdachten Pavillon mit Barbeque auf einer Seite stehen ein Esstisch und Stühle. Von hier aus schauen Sie über das Landgut bis zum Gemeinschaftspool.
In San Sano können Sie das typische toskanische Lebensgefühl kennen lernen in der Ortsmitte, dem Restaurant und dem lokalen Lebensmittelgeschäft, nur ein paar Schritte entfernt. Der große Pool liegt am Rand des Landguts, angrenzend an die Weinberge.
Ein kleiner Steinweg führt zur großen halbrunden Glaseingangstür, die viel Licht in die Wohnung lässt. Links des Eingangs ist ein kleines Wohnzimmer mit einem großen bequemen Sofa.
Rechts ist der helle große offene Wohn-, Küchen-, Essbereich mit hoher Decke. Im Wohnbereich gruppieren sich ein komfortables Sofa und Sessel um den offenen Kamin. Auch ein TV und ein DVD Player sind vorhanden.
Die L-förmige Einbauküche ist gut ausgestattet mit Backofen in Sichthöhe, separatem Gasherd, Spülmaschine und Kühl- Gefrierschrank. Auf einer Seite steht ein traditioneller Holzesstisch mit Platz für 6 Personen.
Eine attraktive Wendeltreppe führt von diesem Raum hinauf zum Schlafzimmer im Zwischengeschoss.
Eingerichtet mit einem Doppelbett, Schrank und einer Kommode verfügt es auch über ein ensuite-Bad mit WC, Waschbecken und Bidet. Versteckt im Dachvorsprung ist in einer Nische Lagerraum und ein Wandhohes Fenster.
Das zweite Schlafzimmer liegt hinter dem kleinen Wohnzimmer und ist ein hübscher heller und luftiger Raum mit Doppelbett, einem bemalten Schrank, Kommode und Nachkästchen. Anschließend an das Schlafzimmer ist das große Bad mit WC, Waschbecken, Bidet und Dusche.
Ein hübsches Haus mit zwei Schlafzimmern, eigenem Garten im herrlichen Landgut San Sano mit Restaurant und lokalem Lebensmittelgeschäft nur ein paar Schritte entfernt.

Das Anwesen in diesem kleinen Dorf gehörte einem lokalen Weinbauern und es entstanden nach vollständiger liebevoller Restaurierung individuelle Villen, wobei auf die Beibehaltung der authentischen und unverwechselbaren Strukturen großer Wert gelegt wurde.
In San Sano gibt es ein Restaurant, einen kleinen Lebensmittelladen und ein Kirchlein, in dem jeden Sonnatg um 10 Uhr die Messe abgehalten wird. In der Umgebung dieses mittelalterlichen Dorfes findet man herrliche Spazierwege, ideal zum Laufen und Radfahren. Angrenzend an die Weinberge liegt der große Pool nahe den Häusern. Der Pool, zugänglich über Einstiegsleitern, ist 14m X 7m groß, und umgeben von bequemen Sonnenliegen, die zum entspannen einladen. Er ist geöffnet von Ostern bis November.
San Sano hat eine reiche Vergangenheit – fragen Sie die Einheimischen! Sie werden Ihnen über den Brunnen des „betrunkenen Frosches“ erzählen, der sich in einem kleinen Park befindet, wo sich die Nachbarn treffen. Vor vielen Jahren erzählte ein Einwohner von San Sano als Teilnehmer bei einer Spielshow die ungeheuerliche Geschichte von Fröschen in seinem Dorf, die so viel Chianti getrunken hatten, bis sie betrunken waren. Diese Geschichte war so abenteuerlich, dass er den Wettbewerb gewann und von seinem Gewinn diesen Brunnen für die Gemeinschaft baute.
Die Ferienwohnungen von San Sano sind ideal für Paare, die in ihrem Urlaub gern am Pool relaxen aber auch Weinproben genießen wollen oder weite Spaziergänge in die Umgebung machen möchten, oder aber Tagestouren zu all den anderen interessanten Orten in der Toskana unternehmen wollen und dabei die toskanische Küche genießen möchten. Der große Pool liegt am Rande des Anwesens, angrenzend an die Weinberge. Er ist am flachen Ende über eine Badeleiter zugänglich. An seinem gefliesten Rand stehen Sonnenliegen und kleine Tische.
Umgeben von mediterranen Bäumen und Sträuchern misst der Pool 14m X 7m und hat einen wundervollen Blick über die umgebenden Weinberge. Er ist geöffnet von Ostern bis November.

Das kleine ruhige Dorf San Sano hat ein Restaurant, das La Grotta della Rana, ein kleines Lebensmittelgeschäft und eine kleine Kirche mit Sonntagsmessen um 10:00. Das mittelalterliche Dorf, umgeben von Wegen und kleinen Straßen ist ein ideales Ziel zum Wandern, Walken und für Fahrradrundfahrten.

What were the highlights of your holiday? ALL of the stuff we did and saw while trundling around Tuscany from our base in San Sano.
What was your overall impression of the accommodation? Accomodation was really good and would have been excellent if the problems with the Electricity supply could be sorted out - Kettle and toaster, when used together blew the power a couple of times and we couldn't have the washing machine running if we wanted to use either Kettle OR toaster OR oven. Also shower in one room was like bathing in a coffin (very small and no room to move so don't drop the soap or you have to get out of the shower to pick it up (and I'm not what you would call fat!) Having said that, the location (San Sano) was brilliant, the staff we dealt with were helpful and freindly and the locaton was absolutely perfect for day trips to all the lovely villages surrounding San Sano as well as visits to Siena and Florence. Thank you.

Do you have any other comments regarding the accommodation or service? Just to say that we loved it at San Sano - Casa Del Mastro and thought it was excellent value for money and a lovely quiet, peaceful little village to stay in.

They had a set menu, We liked Radda and often stopped at Lecchi as we were passing through to buy some cheeses, bread etc in the little shop and maybe have a glass of wine or two next door! We ate in the Marborghetto Restaurant in Lecchi and that was lovely. Would recommend both of those places as we couldn't fault the food! Our visits to San Gimignano and Siena. As you can gather we had such a lovely time.
What was your overall impression of the accommodation? We stayed in La Scuderia and it was excellent - just as it looked on the website. We loved the garden and the stunning views (which actually were even better than we had imagined), in fact we all loved it. It definitely has the best garden out of all the places there (Festin looks after it so well).

Festin was so nice, smiley and friendly but it would have been nice if he could have spoken some English as it was a bit hard to communicate! When we called to say we were on our way it was really hard to make him understand - luckily there was an English man there who spoke and translated to him......The ceiling upstairs in the Mezzanine is low and our friends hit their heads several times!!

Do you have any other comments regarding the accommodation or service? The dishwasher is not fitted properly in the housing so that it falls forward when we opened it so we smashed some glasses. The light over the hob does not work. It would have been nice to have the option of air conditioning. There was no information in our villa about the surrounding area or things to do we only found out by chance from some other guests what we could do.

What was your overall impression of the accommodation? The accommodation was perfect for our family of four, spacious and lovely fixtures and fittings while feeling comfortable and relaxing.
Did you have any unpleasant surprises during your stay with us? The euro rate was not very favourable making everything much more expensive than we had anticipated.
Do you have any other comments regarding the accommodation or service? A fantastic holiday, the children want to go back again soon.

Did you have any unpleasant surprises during your stay with us? Yes. The condo has no terrace and was actually on the second floor, there is a flight of stairs outside and another one inside. Making it on the second floor, not the first floor.
Do you have any other comments regarding the accommodation or service? There sould be more "adaptors" in the unit. All the electrical equipment in the unit would not fit in the wall unit. The situation was corrected by your representative at destination.

What were the highlights of your holiday? There were no highlights or our two whole weeks were a highlight. Tuscany (Chianti) both countryside and towns is just fabulous.
what was your overall impression of the accommodation? The accommodation was excellent. It could be improved with the addition of a microwave oven. Also, it should be explained that all programming on the TV is in Italian and that non-Italian clients wanting to use the TV should bring DVDs.
Did you have any unpleasant surprises? On two occasions we got lost in Siena because we erroneously believed that the way out was to leave Siena. But all roads leaving Siena go in different directions meaning that if you aren't on the right one you get more and more lost. Our problems were compounded by not having a map. In two weeks we were not able to find one - we found maps for central Siena and maps showing the roads around Siena but no maps that showed how the outlying roads connected to those in central Siena. If such a map does exist see comment below.
Do you have any other comments? The information package for the condo should include a map of Siena that shows how the central Siena streets are linked to the roads that lead into and out of Siena - if such a map exists!

Gab es unangenehme Überraschungen? Wasser im Garten aufgrund Rohrbruch in der Straße - kann ja aber keiner was dafür (insbesondere nicht unser Hunde, der zuerst verantwortlich gemacht werden sollte!). Hat sich dann ja aber geklärt!

Wie war Ihr Gesamteindruck von der Unterbringung? Sehr gut. Die Ferienhäuser und die Aussenanlagen sind super renoviert. alles ist in seinem Stil geblieben. Das ganze Dörfchen ist ein Stück Paradies. Sehr liebevoll, sauber und freundlichen. Das Restaurant ist sehr emjpfehlenswert, wenn man richtig toskanisch essen will. Ebenso super das Hotel in San Sano.

Die Highlights waren die super schöne Gegend und die traumhaften Sonnenuntergänge. Auch die jeweiligen Ortschaften in der Umgebung (z.B. Siena) gehören ebenfalls zu den Höhepunkten des Urlaubs. Die Unterbringung war sehr idyllisch und hat sehr gut zum Toskana-Urlaub gepasst. Auch die Poolanlage war wirklich schön, die wir dadurch auch mehrmals genutzt haben.

Eines der Highlights war die von der Anlage organisierte Wanderung zu einer Weinprobe im benachbarten Weingut. Das Borgo Montebuoni ist eine sehr schöne Anlage, Wir werden sie auch gerne weiterempfelen. Speziell Casa Barbara ist eine sehr hübsche, gut eigerichtete Wohnung.
